The Champlain TS 5595 from our historic and 250th Anniversary Heritage Collection. This specific paper was found in the attic storeroom of an early Colonial home in Brattleboro, Vermont. The origin of The Champlain dates back to 1773 France. The design is accredited to Réveillon, a noted French manufacturer of this time period. It shows Champlain landing at a French seaport following an ocean crossing from North America. He returned to seek financial aid regarding a settlement on the shores of the St. Lawrence River.
